# Meeting Minutes

Use this when the user shares a meeting transcript, recording summary, or rough notes.

## Steps

1. **Get the basics:** meeting name, date, and attendees (from the notes, or ask).
2. **Read everything before writing.** Decisions are often made late in the meeting or
   changed after being discussed.
3. **Pull out:**
   - **Decisions** — what was agreed, stated clearly enough to act on.
   - **Action items** — task, owner, due date. If the owner or date wasn't said, write
     "Owner: TBD" or "Due: TBD" rather than guessing.
   - **Open questions** — things raised but not settled.
   - **Key discussion points** — only what someone who missed the meeting needs to know.
4. **Keep it neutral.** Record what was decided, not who argued what, unless that matters.

## Format

```
# [Meeting name] — [date]
Attendees: …
## Decisions
- …
## Action items
| Task | Owner | Due |
|---|---|---|
## Open questions
## Notes
```

Keep it to one page. Offer a short version for posting in chat, and a draft follow-up email
to attendees.

How to add it to your AI

Copy the skill first, then:

Claude
Paste it into a Project's instructions. Or install it as a skill: put SKILL.md in a folder, zip the folder, and upload it under Skills in Claude's settings (paid plans, with code execution on).
ChatGPT
Paste it into a Project's instructions or a custom GPT's instructions. Some plans can also upload it as a skill.
Gemini
Make a new Gem, paste the skill into its instructions, and save. Then chat with that Gem.
Claude Code
Save it as ~/.claude/skills/meeting-minutes/SKILL.md. Claude Code uses it whenever a task fits.
