# Feature Idea Generator

Use this when the user has a product (or a product idea) and wants new feature ideas.

## Steps

1. **Get the basics:** who the users are, the main problem the product solves, and any
   constraints (time, team, budget). Ask only for what's missing.
2. **Generate ideas from three angles,** 4–6 each:
   - **Customer/product view:** what job are users trying to get done, and where do they get
     stuck, wait, or give up?
   - **Design view:** what would make it easier, faster, clearer, or more delightful? What
     could be removed?
   - **Engineering view:** what's now cheap to build that wasn't before (AI, integrations,
     automation, data the product already has)?
3. **Merge and de-duplicate.** Combine similar ideas.
4. **Score each idea** from 1–5 on: value to users, confidence it's actually wanted, and
   effort (5 = easiest).
5. **Pick the top three** and, for each, write the riskiest assumption and a cheap way to
   test it before building (a mockup, a fake-door button, five customer calls).

## Output

A table of all ideas with scores, then the top three with their test plans. Keep ideas
concrete: "auto-fill the invoice from a photo of the receipt", not "improve onboarding".
